THE TEACHING TEMPLE
Our Board of Directors
I am a Rootworker born into Conjure. A salt of the earth practical witch, I weave my work as a bridge for those seeking to reclaim their hereditary magick. My altar is built from my West African ancestry, Southern roots, Pentecostal upbringing, and the powerful land of western Washington. Magick feeds the collective power of healing so we can be restored from lived and inherited trauma. Be still and listen; reclaim old wisdom through connection with ancestors. When we heal, stagnant energy moves. We heal our ancestors; restoring their power and peace. Remembering our magick stirs the potential needed for self and lineage to thrive. Even in the midst of uncertainty we will stand in power and liberation. Ashé.
Blaire, she/her Blaire is a queer witch, teacher, medium and creator with a primary focus in shadow alchemy. She has always been deeply interested in psychology and the unknown within self – she uses spiritual and metaphysical teachings to assist others as they traverse their internal landscape. Blaire has recently been focusing on the co-creation of the oracle deck ‘The Threads of Fate’ which serves as a tool for users to deepen their relationship with themselves and the elemental allies around them. She is incredibly grateful to be a part of such an amazing community and is excited about the temple’s vision to serve the magical community of Seattle.
I'm the owner of Makeda & Mingus: Community Table, a Master Gardener, a practitioner of Reiki, an animal communicator, and a lover of community. The unknown, the truth that absolutely anything can happen, the inspiration inherent in navigating the puzzle that each day brings... that's what gets me up in the morning. My magic is a work in progress. Each day I understand more about my walk in this world. Rooted in the grace of Hanuman and Kali are the foundations of my fierce servitude and devotion to community. I see my work in this world as being a bridge to assist the integration of spiritual power with the accountability of human will. My hope for community is a deeply rooted and radical resilience.

they/them - she/her
I am first and foremost a Witch. I'm a small business owner, traditional witch, teacher, writer, practitioner of herbalism, and transgendered, non-binary femme. I currently live on occupied Duwamish land, now named Seattle. I am a former Sex Worker and presently am a licensed Acupuncturist. I approach my work with a commitment to further understand how access to wellness and personal Magic is complicated by and interconnected with the violence of colonial, cis/het, white supremacy; centering my practice in service to those most affected by these systems of oppression. My altar centers around supporting addiction recovery, sex workers, survivors of trauma & abuse, chronically ill folx, Queer & Trans/Non-Binary specific health concerns, and folks navigating the complexity of mental health concerns.

I am a queer descendant from Iberian, Celtic, Taino and West African ancestors and as such am the embodiment of the colonizer, the immigrant, the indigenous, and the enslaved in this land. This context is the foundation for my practice as well as my lens of perception, intuition and wisdom. I dedicated my life to the witches path at 17 and my practice and faith have evolved over the years. Today my magic is grounded deeply in love, justice and the complexity of nature. I believe in transformative healing through learning, honesty and compassion.

I grew up among strong Hungarian womxn who showed me the path of healing and metaphysics. My mother was a witch, tarot reader and medium. I grew up in the magic of San Fransico’s Queer Revolution, shaping my art and altar. I spent most of my 20’s being a mother of two and my cynosure on art. Into my 30's I began connecting deeper to spirit and working with the dead to tell their stories. Now in my 40’s I embrace my path as healer. I am Witch, a practitioner of folk magic and hoodoo customs. I expend months in New Orleans and live on colonized Duwamish land. I weave magic, art, and queer life to help others re-ignite their inner badass thru spiritual mentorship, tarot & tool building.
